About the Fair

We are located at: Simpsonville City Park- 100 Park Drive

Simpsonville, SC  29681

The South Greenville Fair was incorporated in 1958! Also known as the Hillcrest Fair. We are the truly the last of its kind! SG Fair is a non-profit organization! Former Community Leaders Jeff Richardson, Sr., Conway Jones, and T.C. Alexander envisioned an event to educate and inspire community celebration of the science and technology of plant and animal production through youth participation involving the 4-H and FFA organization! The South Greenville Fair promotes responsibility, and leadership for youths by providing the challenges of competition in all phases of agriculture, horses, and livestock. SGF provides a format for the community to see and experience, and helps promote the value of our environment and natural resources to preserve our rural heritage.

The SGF volunteers work to achieve goals by providing opportunities for the positive development of youth by:

*Promoting responsibility and exposing them to the challenges of competition and leadership thereby cultivating citizenship.

*Presenting challenges to help educate others of agriculture products, animal and natural resources.

*Providing an opportunity to show and exhibit agriculture products, animals, and livestock.

*Presenting an opportunity to have their animals appraised by competent judges and to experience victory and defeat.
